The Heron

"the theatre in the country"

Exhibitions

The Heron Theatre also has a small exhibition space in the foyer and bar, where pictures or photographs can be displayed. It is well lit, attractive and includes an area for the work of other kinds of craftsmen. Some of the work is for sale.

Our last exhibition was of the work of Frances Winder. To see more information about Frances, click here.

We now have an exhibition by Margaret Goodwin ARPS. Margaret was born and brought up in the Lake District by a mother who gave her a camera at the age of seven and when she was seventeen took her on a shoot to Morocco's Atlas Mountains. Little wonder that she is now a traveller in the true sense of the word and has visited over fifty countries, perferring to go to places that have just opened thier doors to the outside world. She says, "I have a passion for mountains and have been fortunate to travel over many high passes of the Himalayas". Photographs of these Himalayan trips gained Margaret her Associateship of the Royal Photographic Society and examples of this feature of her work are on view at The Heron .

The exhibitions are open on Tuesdays and Fridays between 10 am and 1pm and during all Theatre performances. They may be seen at other times, by appointment. For further information, please leave a name, address and telephone number at the Theatre.
